F.A.Q.

We can allow 10 year olds and above to shoot on our range and take part in the taster sessions or beginner courses.

No. You don’t specifically need to have completed the Kingston Archers beginners course but you will need to have completed a beginner course somewhere and provide evidence of this. This is usually done by holding a current Archery GB membership.

This aside when joining the club, during your first visit we may request that our coaches perform a quick assessment to ensure they are happy for you to shoot independently

The focus or our taster sessions and our beginners courses is on shooting a recurve bow. We do however allow and many members of our club shoot one of the following bow styles: Longbow, Barebow, Recurve or Compound.

We do not allow crossbow to be shot at our club.

During a taster session and beginners course equipment will be provided for you. If following a beginners course you become a member, the club, depending on availability will allow you to borrow equipment until you have become familiar with what you may need and are able to buy your own.
